It is with mixed emotions that I share the news that, after 15 years of exceptional leadership of the Worcester Education Collaborative, Jennifer Davis Carey will be retiring at the end of June. I am elated that Jen can take this step into her next adventure and enjoy more time with family, friends, and the pursuit of her passions as an artist.
Naturally, I am also saddened, as what Jen has created for the Worcester community has been extraordinary…
At a time when fundamental rights and democratic values face unprecedented challenges, the Worcester Education Collaborative (WEC) reaffirms our unwavering commitment to advancing equity and excellence in education. As policies and rhetoric threaten to marginalize, exclude, and weaken the promise of a fair and just society, we stand resolute in our belief that education is a cornerstone of a flourishing, pluralistic democracy.
