The Hanover Insurance Group Foundation continues its generous support of Worcester Education Collaborative’s Woo-Labs Hanover Fellowship. Through this Fellowship, local college students are placed at Woo-Labs’ 12 youth-serving partner organizations to help develop and implement engaging project-based learning opportunities for Woo-Labs students. Fellows also complete a robust set of professional development throughout the year to hone their youth development skills. To date, 23 college students representing Clark University, Worcester State University, and Quinsigamond Community College have collectively provided over 4,400 hours of service to Woo-Labs’ 2,000 students.

“The Hanover Insurance Group Foundation is proud to continue supporting the Woo-Labs Hanover Fellowship,” remarked Hanover Insurance Group Foundation Assistant Vice President of Community Relations Kimberly Salmon. “These committed college students will accelerate the social emotional and academic growth of Woo-Labs’ 600 students this school year through affirming relationships and high-quality, hands-on learning experiences. We are thrilled to help the next generation of Worcester educators realize their potential through this Fellowship.”

This $50,000 grant will support this school year’s cohort of 10 Fellows. Worcester Education Collaborative thanks The Hanover Insurance Group Foundation for their continued commitment to the development of Worcester’s education ecosystem.
