As we reach the 1-year mark of the COVID-19 lockdown in the United States, we look back at how virtual learning has challenged traditional ways of learning and presented new opportunities. Our goal in this session was to think critically about the resources and infrastructure we need to create and sustain, in order to support the well-being and success of all students in the Worcester community.

Over the last few weeks, Gov. Charlie Baker has announced that he's including funding to implement the Student Opportunity Act in his fiscal year 2022 budget proposal. In addition, $53 million will be allocated towards addressing and alleviating educational gaps and inequities. The goal of this presentation was to learn more about the budget and what opportunities there will be for community input.
