12th Annual Principal for a Day

On Wednesday, March 12, 2025, the Worcester Education Collaborative will host its 12th annual Principal for a Day program, inviting civic leaders to step into the role of a Worcester Public School principal for a morning of immersive learning and community connection.

Civic leader participants will begin the day immersed in the daily rhythms of one of our Worcester Public Schools, shadowing principals and engaging with staff and students. This unique opportunity provides an up-close view of the rewards and challenges of educational leadership, fostering a deeper understanding of the educational landscape in Worcester.

Following the school visits, a luncheon will be held at Doherty High School. Attendees will have the chance to reflect on their experiences, share insights with Worcester Public Schools administrators and School Committee members, and gain inspiration from a panel discussion on project-based learning.

Principal for a Day continues to build vital connections between schools and local leaders, highlighting the collective effort required to support and uplift public education in Worcester.
